Yoga guru Ramdev’s company has now come under the Corporate Affairs Ministry’s inquiry. What happened with Patanjali? , according to sources, the Corporate Affairs Ministry’s inquiry wing has sent a notice to the company under Section 210 of the Companies Act, 2013.
What is Section 210?
According to Section 210, the central government can initiate an inquiry into any company case, when it receives information about any irregularities or financial fraud from other agencies.
The MCA has started this inquiry after receiving inputs from various inquiry agencies.
What happened with Patanjali?
The inquiry has just begun, according to sources; the inquiry is expected to be completed within three months.
The problem was there from the beginning.
Earlier, cases like false advertising, tax evasion, and false refund claims were going on against Patanjali from the beginning.
The Supreme Court had also warned a few days ago that Patanjali’s products should not be prepared as a cure for serious diseases.
